How to avoid sleep during studying hours

HOW TO AVOID SLEEP AT THE TIME OF STUDY-

Staying awake and focused while studying can be a challenge, especially when you feel tired. However, there are several strategies you can try to avoid falling asleep while studying:

Get enough sleep: Make sure you're getting sufficient sleep at night. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep to ensure your body and mind are well-rested.

Create a conducive study environment: Find a quiet and well-lit area to study where you feel comfortable. Avoid studying in your bed, as it can make you more prone to falling asleep. Instead, use a desk or table with good lighting.

Take breaks: Studying for long periods without breaks can lead to fatigue. Take short breaks every 25-30 minutes to rest your mind and body. Engage in light physical activity, such as stretching or walking, to re-energize yourself.

Stay hydrated: Dehydration can contribute to fatigue. Keep a water bottle nearby and drink water regularly to stay hydrated. Avoid excessive caffeine intake as it can lead to crashes later on.

Avoid heavy meals and sugar: Heavy meals and foods high in sugar can make you feel lethargic. Opt for light, nutritious snacks such as fruits, nuts, and yogurt to sustain your energy levels.

Incorporate movement: Sitting for extended periods can make you feel drowsy. Try incorporating movement into your study routine by using a standing desk, taking short walks, or doing light exercises during your breaks.

Engage actively with the material: Passive reading can make you more susceptible to feeling drowsy. Stay engaged with the material by taking notes, summarizing information in your own words, or discussing concepts with a study partner. Active involvement can help maintain your focus.

Use effective study techniques: Experiment with different study techniques to find what works best for you. Techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique (working in short bursts with regular breaks), spaced repetition (reviewing material at increasing intervals), or teaching the material to someone else can help enhance your learning and maintain alertness.

Practice good posture: Sitting up straight with proper posture can help you feel more alert and prevent physical discomfort that can lead to drowsiness.

Seek natural light: If possible, study in an area with natural light.
